Here’s Desi Serna of Guitar-Music-Theory.com doing a demo/lesson on the pentatonic scale. It shows what you can do with this scale but it’s a little light on details.

    Thanks - the pentatonic is a great scale to learn as its easy, and can be used in many solos. It is easy to get stuck in a rut with though as once you are comfortable with it, you struggle to play anything but pentatonic.

    I would suggest you ensure you learn the pantatonic in all positions and regularly use positions other than the favorite.
